About the Course:
This course is research intensive. This course examines the evaluation of an alcohol intervention called the Young Alcohol Project (YAP) targeting Australian college students up to age 24. It includes: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Social Cognitive Theory (SCT), capacity building, Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA), web-based THRIVE (Tertiary Health Research Intervention Via Email), and low risk versus hazardous drinkers and associated harms. This study is unique in that it includes second hand and witnesses to harm.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, A Cross Sectional Evaluation of an Alcohol Intervention Targeting Young University Student created by Sharyn Burns, PhD et al. in 2016.
