About the Course:
This course examines alcohol treatment options in the adolescent population. The first article discusses brief intervention motivational interviewing in youth ages 14-20. The second article was a pilot RCT studying the differences between outcomes in Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) /Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) vs 12-step facilitation treatments in participants aged 14-21.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, Adolescent Alcohol Treatment Interventions created by Maureen A. Walton M.P.H., Ph.D. and John F. Kelly, PhD, ABPP in 2017.
