About the Course:
This course discusses family based service. For a myriad of reasons, such as many clients coming from substance abusing families and being enabled by family members, many IOT’s use a family systems approach. This chapter outlines: planning for family involvement, engaging the family in treatment, family services, and family clinical issues in IOT.
This course is based on Chapter 6 of the article, TIP 47-Substance Abuse-Clinical Issues in Intensive Outpatient Treatment created by SAMHSA in 2017.
