This collection of four articles describes multiple ethical models with a special focus on their application to the field of Social Work. The first article is entitled: Integral Ethics for Social Workers. This article provides a model, based on Wilber’s integral paradigm, for practitioners and educators to help them incorporate their different perspectives and experiences in their work without compromising their ethical orientations. The second article is entitled: A Relational Approach to Practice: An Ethical Alternative to Working With Parents in Out-of-Home Care Processes. This article discusses a study which explored a relational practice approach with parents whose children have been removed into out-of-home care. The third article is entitled: Methodologies for ethical decision making in Social Work. This article reviews different ethical decision-making methodologies used in social work. The fourth article is entitled: The ETHICS Model: Comprehensive, Ethical Decision Making. This article is based on a program presented at the 2016 American Counseling Association Conference wherein an ethical model was proposed that incorporated the latest relevant literature in ethics and integrated multiple theoretical perspectives.

Mari Ann Graham, Ph.D.
Mari Ann Graham, MSW, PhD, LISW, joined the St. Catherine University faculty fall 2019 as MSW Program Director and as tenured associate professor. She completed a PhD in Social Welfare from Case Western in 1999. She has served as MSW Program Director for 6 years and as Interim Chief Diversity Officer while on faculty of the joint program with the University of St. Thomas for 25 years. Mari Ann Graham has been an active and engaged scholar during her 25+ years as a social work educator in the Twin Cities area alone. She has a clear preference for applied and integrative forms of scholarship as evidenced by her most publications as well as the many workshops and presentations she has done at local, regional and national levels.
Elizabeth Claire Reimer Ph.D.
Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Reimer is a Lecturer in the School of Arts and Social Sciences, and an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Children and Young People, at Southern Cross University. She has multiple research project and publications focusing in the area of parent-worker relationships in rural family services and how relational approaches provide an ethical alternative to other approaches to working with parents who have had their children removed in from the home.
María Jesús Úriz Pemán
Dr. Pemán is a professor at the Public University of Navarra in the Department of Sociology and Social Work. She has published 30 articles and 8 books.
Thomas Ling, PhD
Dr. Ling is an associate professor of psychology and counseling at Caldwell University. His research interests include transitions in academic settings, multicultural and diversity issues, and late adolescent development.
Sandi Cardaman is a Licensed Mental Health counselor who has been working in the field for 13 years. In that time she has worked as a counselor and provided supervision to interns. Sandi has worked with clients struggling with eating disorders, domestic violence and mood disorders as well as those dealing with the dependency system.
These articles are geared towards social workers, but include information that is valuable to any behavioral health provider. It is appropriate for all levels of professional knowledge. This course content is at the beginner level.
