It is appropriate for intermediate to advanced levels of participants’ knowledge. This content is at an intermediate level.

Course Objectives:

After taking this course, you should be able to:

  1. Identify the important general provisions of Title 42 regarding the confidentiality of substance use disorder patient records.
  2. Identify and apply Title 42 requirements regardng disclosures, both with, and without patient consent.
  3. Specify the legal effect and limitations regarding court orders authorizing records disclosures and use.
