About the Course:
Relapse Prevention Group (Section V): From Matrix Intensive Outpatient Treatment for People With Stimulant Use Disorders is a central component of the Matrix method. These sessions are forums in which people with substance use disorders share information about relapse prevention and receive assistance in coping with the issues of recovery and relapse avoidance. The Relapse Prevention Group is based on the premises that relapse is not a random event, the process of relapse follows predictable patterns, and signs of impending relapse can be identified by staff members and clients.
This course is based on the reading-based online, Relapse Prevention Group (Section V): From Counselor’s Treatment Manual: Matrix Intensive Outpatient Treatment for People With Stimulant Use Disorders created by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2010.
