About the Course:
Since 1991, Maryland’s Mental Hygiene Administration (MHA) has taken the lead in creating an intricate patchwork of funds in support of unique programs serving special populations, including individuals with serious mental illnesses, co-occurring substance use disorders, and trauma histories, who may be homeless or incarcerated. Efforts have resulted in the creative use of new and existing resources and in innovative programs which are described in this publication.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, The Maryland Experience: Creative Funding and Cutting-Edge Programs Serve People With Co-Occurring Disorders in Contact With the Justice System created by The GAINS Center
