This alcohol alert summarizes research on differences in alcohol use and problems, selected determinants of drinking, and the development of targeted prevention and treatment programs with respect to the five main minority groups in the United States: African Americans; Hispanics, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders and Native Americans/Alaska Natives.
