Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for MFT’s, and Social Workers, as set forth by the Pennsylvania Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, & Professional Counselors.
30 credit hours needed by February 28th, odd-numbered year.
Twenty (20) credit hours may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses.
Home study courses must be indicated as such on the certificates of attendance. We have a customization line of the certificate where you can type in “Homestudy Course”.
The 30 hours shall include 2 hours of the mandated Act 31 Child Abuse Reporter Training (we do not offer a course that meets this requirement.), 3 hours in ethics and 1 hour in suicide prevention.
Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.

Suicide, 1 CE credit hour
Act 74 of 2016 requires licensees of the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors to complete 1 hour of continuing education in the assessment, treatment and management of suicide risks as a portion of the total continuing education required for license renewal.
