Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University’s Bob Shapell School of Social Work and head of its Addictions & Recovery Lab. She specializes in socio‑psychological dimensions of addiction and recovery, including gambling disorder, recovery capital, and gender influences, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. She has led major studies on barriers to recovery, including projects on veterans, and held a research sabbatical at Yale and King’s College London.

Researcher at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, affiliated with the Addictions & Recovery Lab. Her work focuses on behavioral addictions, treatment barriers, and recovery processes, often collaborating with Gavriel‑Fried.   2. Analyze key gaps in the literature, including the underrepresentation of female and culturally diverse veterans, and the limited focus on natural recovery pathways, and apply these insights to support more inclusive and holistic care.
  3. Evaluate commonly used assessment tools (e.g., South Oaks Gambling Screen, Timeline Follow Back) in the context of veteran recovery, and explore how incorporating psychosocial and cultural dimensions can enhance outcome measurement and clinical relevance.
