About the Course:
This White Paper includes a definition of process addictions, a compare and contrast of accepted criteria for substance abuse disorders and some of the common behavioral disorders, an analysis of surveys to experts conducted by the committee, an examination of preparation and training needed for helping clients with process addictions.
The White Paper was produced by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA) Process Addictions Committee. In it the authors also presented the committee’s recommendation for a Process Addictions Endorsement.
