It will focus primarily on how a woman’s relationship with her partner affects the etiology, course, and treatment of her alcohol and other drug addiction (AOD). More specifically, this document delineates and describes the relational influences that are intertwined with women’s addiction and recovery and discusses the positive and negative contributions and roles that a partner can play in sustaining a woman’s addiction and facilitating or hampering her recovery.
