About the Course:

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) created the Rapid Response to College Drinking Problems initiative so that college administrators facing an alcohol-related crisis could get assistance from researchers and NIAAA staff. Between September 2004 and September 2005, NIAAA selected 15 sites and paired each recipient college with a scientific team. Together, each program development/evaluation team, working closely with NIAAA staff, jointly designed, implemented, and evaluated a Rapid Response project. This article provides an overview of the findings, placing them in the context of the college drinking intervention literature.
