About the Course:
Substance Use Disorder Treatment for People With Physical and Cognitive Disabilities (TIP 29) is intended to enhance treatment providers’ knowledge concerning people who have a physical or cognitive disability in addition to their substance use disorder. Treatment programs for substance use disorders already see many individuals with coexisting disabilities, but many providers fail to accommodate these individuals either because they are unaware of the disability or how accommodations can improve treatment outcomes (even though such accommodations are legally mandated). This course covers Administrative Tasks, which deals with material for program administrators. This course covers Chapter 5 only.
This course is based on the reading-based online article, Substance Use Disorder Treatment for People With Physical and Cognitive Disabilities (TIP 29): Ch.5: Administrative Tasks created by SAMHSA
Journal/Publisher:U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
