About the Course:

For children whose parental bonds have already been disrupted by the effects of drugs, alcohol, and poverty, incarceration represents a major disturbance to child/caregiver attachment, leaving these children vulnerable to the development of future behavioral and psychological adjustment problems. This publication addresses the building of parental skills within justice-involved women with co-occurring disorders.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Attachment and Reunification: Building Parental Skills created by Andrea Karfgin, Ph.D.
