About the Course:

Family Solutions for Substance Abuse provides a clear, competency-focused intervention model for families and couples in which someone is struggling with addiction. Eric E. McCollum, PhD, is Associate Professor and Clinical Director in the marriage and family therapy program at Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia Center. Dr. McCollum has spent the past ten years doing research and training in the area of family therapy of substance abuse, including consulting to the state of Washington and being co-investigator on a five-year NIDA-funded research project in Phoenix, Arizona. He is on the editorial boards of the _Journal of Marital and Family Therapy_ and the _Journal of Family Psychotherapy_ and is a contributing editor for _The Family Therapy Networker_. Terry S. Trepper, PhD, is Director of the Family Studies Center, Professor of Psychology, and Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana. He is Editor of the _Journal of Family Psychotherapy_ and Editor-In-Chief of The Haworth Clinical Practice Press.
