Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors

  • Provider Info:

  • Cycle: Renewal every 2 years
  • Total Requirement: 24 credit hours required — All 24 may be earned with Addiction Counselor CE.

Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for Professional Counselors, as set forth by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.

24 credit hours every 2 years by licensure expiration date (birthdate month).

4 credit hours in ethics for each renewal period.

A licensee holding the supervisor status must complete 6 hours of continuing education in supervision.

In addition to general CE hours, the Texas Jurisprudence Exam is required at each renewal. See the Board’s website for details.

Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #5951). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.
