Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology

  • Total Requirement: 30 credit hours required — 15 may be earned with Addiction Counselor CE.
    Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology has special CE requirements. Those requirements are listed below.

Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses meet qualifications for continuing education credit for psychologists as required by the State Board of Psychology.

30 credits needed by November 30 of every odd number year.

15 CE credits in the licensing renewal period may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses.

3 credit hours must be in ethics.
1 credit hour must be suicide prevention.
2 credit hours in child abuse recognition and reporting.

Up to 10 hours in excess of 30 from the immediately preceding biennium may be carried over to the next. However, this doesn’t apply to ethic requirements.

Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. maintains responsibility for this program and its content. No provider number is listed because the APA does not issue a provider number.
