Trauma and Co-Occurring Disorders Among Youth defines key terms and provides a description of the impact of trauma exposure on children and youth with co-occurring disorders. Emphasis will be placed on the impact of traumatic stress on children and adolescents to support the need for trauma informed systems of care.

  3. Understand the comprehensive systems of care, the process of screening and assessment, the necessity of evidence-based practices, and the importance of staff being able to manage stress and self-care.
