This course is based on two films from the HBO Video Series “Addiction.” *Separate links are provided for each of the two films.
In Getting an Addict Into Treatment: The CRAFT Approach, Dr. Robert Meyers, a research associate and professor in psychology, discusses how family members can change their dynamic with addicts and help them take the first steps towards seeking treatment.
In Treating Stimulant Addiction: The CBT Approach, methamphetamine and cocaine addicts attend evidence-based behavioral therapy groups.
