Charles Wellford, professor of criminology and criminal justice at the University of Maryland, is director of its Maryland Justice Analysis Center. He chairs the National Research Council’s (NRC’s) Committee on Law and Justice and has served as chair of the NRC’S Committee on the Social and Economic Impact of Pathological Gambling.
