Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
60 hours required, 30 must by substance abuse specific
Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS)
40 hours required, 30 must by substance abuse specific
For initial certification NCSAPPB accepts our distant learning courses for up to 50% of required hours. Please be sure to check Board regulations regarding specific content requirements for initial certification.
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
Initial-270 hours required, 190 must be SA specific, up to 50%(135) can be DL
Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS)
Initial-180 hours required, 180 must be SA specific, up to 50%(90) can be DL
Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)
Initial – 30 hours of SA specific clinical supervision training should reflect 12 core functions
Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant (CSAPC)
Initial – 270 required, 170 in primary prevention, 100 in SA specific, 12 in HIV/AIDS, and 6 in ethics. 50% can be DL
Addiction Counselor CE is a service of CE Learning Systems. CE Learning Systems is approved to offer continuing educations courses by NAADAC (#410) and many ICRC certification boards. CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.
