General Information

Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for marriage and family therapists as set forth by the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists.

Thirty-five(35) hours of continuing education during every two (2) year license period.

Four (4) out of the 35 must be in professional ethics. Ethics continuing education credits may NOT be obtained with distant learning courses.

All Board approved supervisors, including those with AAMFT Approved Supervisor standing, must complete two (2) hours of MFT supervision continuing education each renewal period.

It is the responsibility of each licensee and supervisor to determine in advance that the continuing education activity meets the criteria set forth in the rules and regulations.

Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020) and National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #5951) and American Psychological Association (APA). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.

Cycle: Renewal every 2 years
Total Credit Requirement: 35 credits required; 17 may be earned with Addiction Counselor CE.
