Approval for Alcohol/Drug Counselors in Missouri

General Information
Our distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for addiction counselors, as set forth by the Missouri Substance Abuse Counselors’ Certification Board.
60 renewal CE credit hours every odd year by October.
CSAC II – Certification hours that can be homestudy/online courses.
270 Contact Hours of Education related to the five performance domains, and also include the following: 9 hours substance abuse ethics; 45 hours substance abuse training and 45 hours counseling skills. 60 hours obtained in past 2 years and 40 of this 60 obtained outside place of employment.

CASAC – Certification hours that can be homestudy/online courses.
180 Contact Hours of Education related to the seven performance domains, and also include the following: 9 hours substance abuse ethics; 45 hours substance abuse training and 45 hours counseling skills. 60 hours obtained in past 2 years and 40 of this 60 obtained outside place of employment.
40 renewal CE credit hours every odd year by October.
RASAC I
20 renewal CE credit hours every year by October.
RASAC II – Certification hours that can be homestudy/online courses.
90 Contact Hours of Education to include the following: 9 hours substance abuse ethics;
30 substance abuse related hours; 30 hours obtained in past 12 months; 20 of this 30 must be outside place of employment.

Addiction Counselor CE is a service of CE Learning Systems. CE Learning Systems is approved to offer continuing educations courses by NAADAC (#410) and many ICRC certification boards. Our courses are endorsed by Missouri Substance Abuse Counselors’ Certification Board. CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.
