Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for social workers as set forth by the Kentucky Board of Social Work.
30 credit hours for Clinical social workers during your three year license renewal. 15 credit hours available from distant learning courses.
15 credit hours for Licensed social workers during your three year license renewal. 7.5 credit hours available from distant learning courses.
3 credit hours are needed in social work code of ethics (this must be attended in person from a live presenter) ; and every third renewal period 2 credit hours on HIV/AIDS
Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.

Requirement: Social Code of Ethics, 3 credit hours
This requirement cannot be completed with online coursework.

Requirement: HIV/AIDS, 2 credit hours
2 credit hours focusing on AIDS/HIV every third renewal.
We do not yet offer courses to fulfill this requirement.

Requirement: LCSW Supervision, 5 credit hours
LCSWs who wish to supervise other LCSWs are required to take a supervision course that specifically addresses Kentucky laws and regulations.
