General Information
Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses meet qualifications for continuing education credit for social workers as required by the Alaska Board of Social Workers Examiners.
45 credit hours on June 30 of every even year.
45 credits in the licensing renewal period may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses. This was confirmed in phone call to the board on 7/20/06.
3 credit hours must be in professional ethics; 6 hours in substance abuse education; and 6 hours in cross-cultural education relating to Alaska Natives.
Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.
