Addiction Counselor CE’s distant learning courses meet qualifications for continuing education credit for psychologists as required by the Florida Board of Psychology.
Florida is the first state to begin using fully electronic CE reporting. Addiction Counselor CE is fully compatible with Florida’s new CE Broker system. Simply enter your Florida state license code using the link provided in your member account.
We do have a Medical Errors course “Medical (Behavioral Healthcare Practice) Errors” course # 101522. although we have other medical error courses, THIS IS THE ONLY COURSE APPROVED FOR PSYCHOLOGIST IN FLORIDA.
Addiction Counselor CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the American Psychological Association (APA). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.

Requirement: Ethic Courses
•Three (3) of the forty (40) hours must be on professional ethics AND Florida statutes and rules affecting the practice of psychology. You must also take the Florida statutes and rules course (see special requirements, course # 100324).

Requirement: Domestic Violence Courses
Every third renewal, you must complete a two hour continuing education course on domestic violence.
“Domestic violence” means any assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of one family or household member by another family or household member.10 courses available. Requirement: Prevention of Medical Errors, 2 credit hours
Two (2) of the forty (40) hours must relate to prevention of medical errors, including a study of root-cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, and patient safety. If the course is offered by a facility licensed pursuant to chapter 395 for its employees, the Board will approve up to one (1) hour of the two (2) hour course to be specifically related to error reduction and prevention methods used in that facility.
The Board of School Psychology does not allow continuing education providers approved by another Board within MQA to offer Medical Errors courses as complementary. The only exception is when the course is also approved for Medical Errors for Psychology. We do have a Medical Errors course approved for Psychology. The ONLY course we have available for psychologist is course 101522, “Medical (Behavioral Healthcare Practice) Errors.”
